MAP Sensor issues and injector seals?
Ok, I have had some issues blowing MAP sensors, most will say its Caused by oil blow by, however when i pulled the sensor to replace it there was a strong smell of gas on the sensor. no oil residue though. So my question is could a bad injector seal spit enough fuel to blow a MAP sensor, the car runs normal with no issues.
It has me very confused.

Injectors don't feed fuel anywhere near the map sensors. They only feed into the head and not the intake mani. Your map sensor will smell slightly like fuel kind of like how really old used motor oil smells. You may not actually see the oil on it but it gets inside of it when your car is under boost pressure.

What do you mean through emissions? Are you getting a check engine light? That would be the only way you would fail. That and catless exhaust. If so, let us know exactly what the cel was for.

Will a blown map sensor cause a p0299 code to pop up. Also dose it cause your car to run in limp mode because mines out and ill have boost for a bit then loose it again.
