Misfires only at standstill
Hey guys. So the last few weeks I have been getting misfires on 1&2 but only at a standstill. I have changed the plugs twice. Once with ngk and auto lites. Changed the coils over but for some reason it just won't stop.
Anyone's have an idea

This is good info, good thing I have the Powell Oil Separator since 26000 miles, so hopefully it won't be a problem for me.
It is great info to know though, please keep us updated on your progress in fixing this issue. If not us, then just me.

I had a similar problem about a year ago. Cyl 3 would give misfire codes on cold starts sometimes. After many trips to the dealer (they tried the plug and the ignition coil) they eventually replaced the injector for Cyl 3 under powertrain warranty. CEL has yet to come back.

Naw..... if he pops the intake manifold he can clean the intake valves by hand . Its a pain in the ass but its worth it IMHO.
I've been using seafoam every 3K miles since it was new and I pulled my intake manifold @ 50K miles and they were actually pretty good .....not great. The build up wasn't nearly as bad as others ive seen..... so the seafoam must be making some difference .
I watch misfires on all cylinders with my dashawk and I rarely see any at all , but have seen 1 or 2 when watching it for 20 miles or so ...... but i think every car has a few from time to time.

Once warm you shouldn't see hardly any

I'm getting more than 30 misfires a minute at standstill right now. They instantly appeared right after I installed my PCM which was freshly tuned from ZZP to remove idle surge. Just cleaned spark plugs and I don't think it's carbon build up.

You should see 165 at sealevel across the board. I'd do a leakdown test. I think you have ringland issues. 120 is getting pretty close to a dead cyl. especially at idle. I've seen some at 100 that do, some that don't.
Since you are seeing oil I'd bet a pizza on pistons.

Yes, I'm am pretty sure it still misfires with the AC, although I can't check right now because it's storming outside and I'm at a different house than where my cobalt is at.
