p0016

i have an 07 gxp and getting code P0016 - Crankshaft Position vs. Intake Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 1 Fault. The cams are being "parked"(not moving). I have changed the sensor and the actuator with no results. My only thoughts are the reluctor wheel is off the cam or my phaser is messed up. Please only comment if you know what you are talking about. sidenote the car sat for 2 years until i started messing with it 2 week ago

I ran into the same problem with my car earlier this year, the car sat at a shop for about 9-10 months (long story) anyways it pop'd the same code, I changed out the actuators, cam sensors, crank sensor, all with no luck. Eventually I cam across a TSB that mentioned the reluctor wheel on the cam, a buddy had a stock exhaust cam that I was able to swap out and boom problem solved!

reluctor looked fine, the top guide was missing and it looked like the chain has been stretched and jumped timing

On mine the reluctor "Looked" fine also till I laid it side by side with a new cam and noticed the reluctor had rotated just a hair.
