P0455
P0455
So while driving home this morning I got another "check gas cap" on the dic, so I checked it, and tighten it down. Proceeded the drive and 5 mins later a get a cel. Had it pulled and I got the P0455 code. The definition read a large leak detected in the evap system. I checked the hose, gas cap. It looked ok from what I see. But the purge solenoid or canister idk where its located.
I read on another thread that disconnecting it might help, so. Wanted to try that but what do you use to cap it off?
Anyone had this fixed at a stealership yet? If so how much did they charge?

Best to take it to a shop for the smoke test, they will hook up a smoke machine to your gas tank and fill it with smoke untill it leaks out somewhere in your evap system and there is your leak. But like i said try a new cap first.

Thanks for the link t man!
Well yesterday I unplugged the power to the solenoid on top of manifold and the car drove like a ****** champ!!! Didn't hesitate when coming from a dead stop out of first gear. I could totally feel a difference. Car didn't idle like it would when it was plugged up.
So I'm bout to go to the stealership and see if they have that part in, does anyone know if it would be warrantied, or how much the part is???
