P2261 issues

So to keep it short I was getting the P2261 CEL. Had some turbo flutter and decided to change the BPV. Bought a Forge and installed it and I'm having the same issues.

It's installed correctly with the opening down, green spring. I'm still getting turbo flutter up until about 3k or so..after that it doesn't even blow off? Unless its just that quite...

I took it apart and it's fully lubed. I can also boost past 5LBS. I'm also still getting the p2261 CEL.

Thoughts, suggestions?

So I took it for a ride today. At low boost I get turbo flutter but not at high boost. High boost its fine.

Should I try the yellow spring maybe? It seems most people have had issues though and stayed with the green.

First thing to try is deleting the vacuum tank

First thing, do the vaccum tank delete mod. Then be happy and do it the easy way.

Are you tuned at all?

Yes Term2 tuned. Should I still try the tank delete mod? Is there any pics of the mod around?

Yep do it.

So basically, take the line coming from your BPV and plug it in directly into the intake manifold nipple at the top and unplug the line that the little boost solenoid thing from the manifold, then unplug the line from the vacuum tank to the little boost solenoid thing and unplug the bottom one then get some vacuum live from the parts store and cover up the 2 loft over holes on the boost solenoid thing with the same piece of vacuum line.

Then you're done!

I had fluttering problems at wot and if I let off before 6k, now I don't have any!

SPOOLING 08-27-2015 01:52 PM

so basically just get about 6" of line and do this with the lines....

Or you could attempt to actually diagnose the problem if you have the tools. Use a mityvac vacuum bleeder or similar and apply 10-15 in.hg vaccum to each side of the tank to see if it holds. One of the hoses will be used to see if check valve still works and the other side is to determine if tank is intact and not cracked( you will need to plug opposite hose during this test).

If he's tuned anything above Factory, GMS1, or a HPtuned factory tune or a HPtuned GMS1 tune you ARE going to have BPV issues. Just do the vacuum tank delete and it's fixed and the BPV opens all the way.

Also sp00ling that's my pic  I'm css net famous!

Weird, I've been tuned with trifecta and HPT without any BPV issues.
