Possible to get GM stage kits?

I'm currently tuned with Trifecta and a buddy of mine had GMS1 installed on his car, modded it and then had Trifecta retune. Its been a year and a half, over that time I've switched parts so I need a retune anyways. His car had way more trq and less turbo lag on a very similiar Trifecta tune. My question is is it still possible to get the GMS1 kit and if so would I need to wipe my Trifecta tune before doing that? just to the trifecta back on to gain the trq?

do you have gms1 prior also or not? don't quote me on anything but those sensors might have something to do with it

that may or may not be why, iirc the sensors read boost better/more accurately but i don't know if they do anything else

You can purchase the map sensors then have it tuned with hptuners. Best power is made on the stock file as the base tune with 3 bar sensor data. The gms1 has more nannies in it that can't be tuned out.

How much boost u running? It may be that his motor just makes more to begin with cause all motors vary in power output. Or u just don't have the same tune. U don't need a retune u just need urs adjusted, data log and send it to Vince and he will send u new tune file

Seems kinda pointless to spend all that money for gms1 when you could just do some logs and send them to Vince and ask for something slightly more aggressive.

I had to read this 4 times to grasp even an idea of what I THINK was said, here.

I THINK you're saying that you think your friend has more torque and less turbo lag because he had the GMS1 kit on his car before he was Trifecta-tuned. That has nothing to do with that, if that is the case.

First of all, butt-dynos are way off. If, in fact, your friend really does have more torque and less turbo lag than you do, just request a tune update from Vince. If that doesn't meet your needs, there might be something actually wrong with your car.

All of this ^^^ just ask for a re-tune.
