Potential BNR customers, step in!

Ive been talking to brian at BNR and told him how much of a PITA those oil/ coolant lines are. here is his response:

I do have some banjo adapters for 14mm banjos. just connect those to the stock water sources and it would make it easy. Talk it over with your friends on the board and see what they think. If you guys need an 8mm barb or 10mm, I have either adapter for a rubber hose.
i think that would make install so much smoother since basically the longest part of my install was those dreaded lines. if anyone would be interested in getting barb fittings with rubber hoses (which would make it 1000X easier to install) please post in here so we can gain interest. thanks.

oooouummm..... subd

sub'd for sure...going to james this week so idk if i have time to wait..

Dart_SI 03-11-2012 11:34 PM

thats fine. if he does start offering the hoses i may get them in the future if i ever have to remove the turbo for some reason. it would make install sooo much easier. lol. my fingers still hurt.

I'm getting stainless braided lines for my coolant and oil hoses when I do it. No gonna mess with no rubber right on top of the turbo. Silicone maybe but not rubber.....

Dart_SI 03-12-2012 01:22 AM

maybe he meant silicone. rubber would just melt.

Frogstofall 03-12-2012 01:22 AM

Braided stainless would be better anyhow. :)

FasterIsBetter 03-12-2012 01:26 AM

Nah, not high heat rubber. Silicon dry rots easy...the original silicon hose for my catch can ended up falling apart at the turbo pcv valve due to heat.

FasterIsBetter 03-12-2012 01:28 AM

Silocone* damnit, we arent building microchips....using the electrical engineer half of my brain, lol...

Scroll to the Super-Sil one. That's what I was thinking but still gonna go braided stainless.

What do you think is underneath the pretty stainless braiding?

Dart_SI 03-13-2012 08:56 AM

I've already talked to him about a 3071. Don't think he wants to produce one because of how negative the community responded to the 2860 and 2871.

JacBlackSS/TC 03-13-2012 09:44 AM

i am thinking about the 2871 so whatever would make it easier to install i'm down for, but that 3071 does sound nice lol

Dart_SI 03-13-2012 09:56 AM

Yea before you order it id talk to him and ask if he can supply those lines instead of trying to bend your stock ones.
