redline
is it useful to put redline up to 7k? is it very hard on the motor? what kinda success have u guys running 7k redline on stock turbo having?
from what i understand, the stock turbo runs out of breath after about 5,000-5,500 rpm's as most dyno graphs show hp just dives after that point. But i dont know if some tuning could make use of it.

Like the other guy said, the turbo looses power at that high an rpm. I Changed mine to 7k because i was sick of hitting the rev limiter in first. Also so i can make it down the quarter mile without shifting to 4th. But I try to shift at around 5800 that seems to be the sweet spot for my set up.

The advantage of the 7k redline is to hit the traps at the top of 3rd and save the 3-4 shift if you are close. 17-18 psi is all you are going to get up that high tuned on the stock turbo depending on flow mods.
