Second time posting

Started the car this morning herd a lot of slack in the timing chain, so time to replace some goodies! I am looking online for the timing kit for the lnf (don't know if LSJ is the exact same kit) and the only one I found was $400+ for just the timing chain didn't even care to see what the balance shaft kit cost.
so my question is what websites carry the lnf timing kit with the upgraded tensioner. And also is deleting the balance shaft worth it in a daily driver application?

According to ZZP's website it is the same kit for all Ecotec's.

As for what you need, it really depends on what's your issue. If you just want a new chain and guides then dealership or Cloyes is where to go. Don't get something aftermarket.

Even auto chain stores carry the cloyes kit. Cloyes manufactures the parts for gm. I believe the kits are about $150 each at a part store.
