I think the BNR might be the safest and cheapest route. Since your turbo blew why not send the core in and boom you got a 2871 pretty much. Thats the best i can say. BTW sorry for the blown turbo :/

i left the car running for a while maybe an hour or so and then i got in and took off....no lies i was running her pretty hard and went from a dead stop to 145 mph once and was at full boost for probably 25 seconds at the most then let out but was going up a mountain and bout a min later boosted real hard for maybe 5 seconds and boom! raised the hood and the turbo was cherry red lol i know its my fault and i wasnt throwing any weight at zzp i just simply ment that im pushing 25lbs of boost which may have a lot to do with me getting it so hot....lol but yea thats why you buy a triple gauge pod and put your exhaust temps, fuel/air and boost on it lol

I think the BNR GT2860 or what ever it is, is the cheapest and flows just as much as stock. So that's the cheapest direct stock replacement.

But if you're looking for more power I'd say Performance Autowerks K04+ or BNR 2871. Everything else take a lot of work and a lot more parts if I'm not mistaken.

There's always used K04s in the Classifieds. I bought one for $200 with 3K miles. They almost always have a cracked divider on the twin-scroll hotside. Nothing to worry about.

herd that im definatly gonna buy that used one that is on the classifieds with 4k miles on it cuz im trying to save the cash for the big build!

it got so hot the turbo was intirely cherry red (slaps face) i knew i was running way to long at full boost but i tried to top it out and then didnt let out when i got to a mountain.....once again (slaps face)

it made a loud pop then nothing. it will go up to 0lbs but thats it so im assuming i welded it shut....you guys think i could have cracked the manifold? note. the engine temp was 194 so it was good and cool but the turbo was definatly not! and my cars running really rich on the zzp pcm i just put on a couple weeks ago, not blaming them but i bet the rich mixture isnt helping....once again not blaming zzp they are great people

the bnr 2871 is actually a great upgrade. however the bnr 2860 is not.

the beaner hahah (bnr) turbo is great for somone who doesnt want good power ( at least reliable over 400) Its maxxed out quickly just like the gt28s and k04s... to me its like a volks owner... they upgrade to the k04s so they can get what 30 hp lol. Pointless.

running rich is the better of two evils. you will always run colder rich than lean.

No.

And Mitsubishi turbos are junk, just like their cars. Don't even waste your time.

Too bad the ZZP EFR series bolt-on turbo upgrade isn't out yet, that would be the perfect solution for you. The EFR series is a direct bolt-on unit with a ceramic ball bearing turbine and a stainless steel housing that will support 400+WHP without any noticeable turbo lag.
