Intakes just didn't make sense to me on this car.

I said it from the get go.

The only part that is the suck sos is the elbow, which we can replace apparently now.

Filter is the most restrictive part it gained 3 lbs/min from the K&N Drop in. The Elbow did not produce a very noticeable gain (in airflow anyway)

Even in this hot humid weather 2nd gear is useless right now LOL. I need to but a lot of torque management back in 2nd or I need some better tires.

So i put the stock box back in with the modded tube on the bottom. I miss being able to hear it spool up easily, but I will take it over the surging anyday. Still roasting tires in 2nd too. haha

Those look nice and seem to be top notch, but the price? ouch!

Well after some driving with the stock box back on, i think i can still notice the flutter. the sound is very subtle but i believe it is still there. I know i have to get retuned, but I thought that if I took the CAI off the surging would go away. anyone else notice this too?

FYI the Falken Ziex 912's are decent in price i think i paid 560 for the set with lifetime replacement (replaced for anything ie: cut, roadhazards or w/e) at discount tire. So far so good on treadwear, even after a few trips to the track (quite a few).

All season tires are not even comparable to a summer tire.

It will disappear after I put the proper MAF calibration and correction table back in. Right now your LTFT are probably -16 with the stock box and K&N filter.

I know I might still get the NT-05s but I am not sure yet. Probably going to be another 6 months before I need new tires.

An air intake will flow better then the ZZP Performance mod IMO.

The mod is great and worth the cheap fee but if you want every WHP out of your car up top then a True air intake is what you need.

My logs prove otherwise. Same airflow recorded with the AEM intake which is the largest diameter of all the intakes and the airbox mod. Car runs a ton smoother with the stock box back on as well. It just is more responsive even though I have my MAF calibrated just as well for both.

My AEM CAI logged the same VE MAF in HP Tuners as the AEM inlet tube to the turbo with the stock air box snorkeless with a K&N drop in. Now that I put the venturi on the end it may have dropped off flow a tenth or two, but I only logged a couple pulls with it on and it was hotter out.

The AEM had compressor surge on startup that couldn't be tuned out with HPT.
