SS/TC Key Stuck in Ignition

So the key is stuck in the AC position.

I have heard of them being messed up in the AUTOs, but never in a manual.

So what's wrong with the beast?

I have had similar issues, i usually just toy with the wheel, trying to gyank it right and left then wiggle the key a bit. Aside from that i dont know why a manual would have anything else effecting the key

I just came back fromt the dealer for the 2nd time it happend. I guess you need to be gentle and not shove the key down the ignitions throat so hard. It set of my ESC service and ABS this morning before I went to the dealer. So all of that is gone. I was told from my advisor they had common problems besides cobalts.

Well i had a large set of keys on my key ring. I took those of so they wouldn't bitch about that.

I don't crank on the key at all. I know it's electronic so i turn it quickly but not a lot of pressure.

Sounds like shitty luck.

Is there a release lever on the column itself?

Hey another thing you need to try before the dealership is to roll the car backwards and forwards while wiggling the wheel. If this doesnt work id be suprised

I tried everything.

I even had 3 people try it and even a salesman and service manager.

I finally took it in as I knew power was running low and so was gas tank.

They are doing the power steering recall as well so it's really nbd.

Just for an update.

I went to the dealership to get something out of the car. They just pushed it into a bay. They let it sit and killed the battery.

Last but not least. I had them fix some issues with the MAP sensors for the stage 1 kit. This was about a month ago.

The regional rep was in town and was auditing their warranty work. They threatened that if I didn't bring a receipt for my stage kit that they would charge me for the warranty work.

Not only did I print it and have it to them in 10 minutes, i had a nice chat with the regional rep about what the kit is and how GM warranties it. Man I wanted to slap him in the face. Morons.

I would have taken my car back if it was drivable.

to let you know, your dealership are total "idiots". your GMS1 is warranty under 30,000 if something happens to it. this is what I mean about people not knowning their own job and products. yeah, I wish I was their to bitch slap him for ya.

Actually not to be a dick, but I'm about 95% sure the GM stage kit is under the 100k miles warranty.
