STS install...HELP!

Okay, Im in the middle of installing my TWM STS, and I ran into an issue that I need some help with...

Everything went really well, very easy. However, when I got to the point of checking the reverse lock out to see if it was locking on the plastic tab, it wasnt. I adjusted the shift cable every possible way, but still nothing. Adjusting the cable doesnt seem to help seeing its not that it isnt making it far enough back, but rather it isnt making it far enough to the right.... I tried adjusting the other cable to seeing that seems to have more control of the left to right movement, but that didnt really help...

Any thoughts??

Thanks

It's definitely an adjustment problem. You may need to move it back or forward too.

Put car in 5th, unclip left cable. Push shifter to right so it is against reverse lock out tab. Reclip left cable. Shift into each gear. Play around with cable adjustments there to make sure all gears engage perfectly including reverse.

I ended up getting it....it just took a ton of trial and error adjusting with both cables. It was a real tight balance because if I moved it to far to the right, to get onto the reverse lock tab, then I couldnt get into 5th. But if I wasnt far enough to the right I couldnt get on the reverse tab lol. I ended up finding a REALLY small area where everything worked

Had a similar problem when helping install one on another members car. We had put the ball part at the bottom in backwards. Once we turned it around everything worked.
