Let see some pics of Trunk mount meth kits

Going to install my AIS Stage 1 soon and would like to see some installs

Going to try and fit under spare tire cover

I have the first gen AIS kit mounted where the spare tire used to be in my 07.

If I feel ambitious, I will take a pic for you.

Mine will also be the First Gen AIS Stage 1

Going to test fit it under spare tire cover today

Did you make a mounting plate?

I need to swap nozzles i think i got a 10 gph one AI10 it says

Emailed AIS but didnt get an answer this week can i use any companies nozzle? Thinking 5 gph would be lots

Gunney_07 Apr 3, 2011 11:48 AM

yeah 10 gph is too big, start with a 3gph the move to the 5gph if every thing checks out.

Gunney_07 Apr 3, 2011 11:50 AM

also what psi pump do you have, that makes a big difference?

i think this is the second post you said the same thing... but yes just as functional. i was gonna mount my tank in the spare tire but i had a cryo2 co2 tank that sat on the left side but it was thrown in the trash by a family member while i was on vacation.

cobaltsssc760 Apr 3, 2011 02:39 PM

pump psi should be around 150psi

lol yes it is, i copied and pasted it out of the other thread

also there is generally 3 psi settings. 150,220,250 and the gph rating on the nozzles changes when under different pressures.

cobaltsssc760 Apr 3, 2011 02:50 PM

ha. i wouldnt get a pump over 150 depending what tubing your using to hook it up.

<tylerjclance> that setup doesnt stress your pump having to draw out of the tank straight up like that?

Gunney_07 Apr 3, 2011 03:01 PM

my pump from Devils Owns is adjustable from 150-250, This vendor in particular only sells one type of nylon line that is rated for 350 psi operating, and 1400psi bursting.

Nylon Tubing Devilsown

i jus have the tank mounted in the back and my pump is up front...and i have my pump up in the engine bay and it doesnt stress it out so i dont think his set up should either but who knows

cobaltsssc760 Apr 4, 2011 09:21 PM

the way the pump is drawing from the tank straight up like that cant be good for pump

EXsoccer1921 Apr 4, 2011 09:28 PM

i never used my trunk so i just mounted it for ease of filling.

sounded good

gone_in_10_sec Apr 5, 2011 12:24 PM

See some of you guys have your meth pumps/tank mounted in the trunk, was it by choice or design?

Gunney_07 Apr 5, 2011 12:34 PM

choice

It is perfectly fine. THe pump works in any direction, upside down sideways, upright. According to devil's own, it was just easier to mount upside down :p

I bought this AIS kit stage 1 with the 1.5 gal tank from someone never used apparently

What i got is 25 Feet of Tubing, Pump mounted to Tank, Switch with 3 electrical posts and one hose fitting and my Nozzle and 90 degree adapter

Anyone have a good install instruction for such a kit?
