I think I can recall seeing one of the OEM's was making a boost solenoid that fit our application for much less $$. I'm thinking it may have been a Ford part? Anyone recall such a thing? I've had to replace mine a few times. no idea why they go bad and I would not want to use one of the Chinese knock offs. At $100 a pop anything helps

 

The bpv solenoid on the manifold is cheaper and is the same thing oddly enough

 

Also If u want it to last way longer, relocate it away from the turbo to a cooler place. I have mine bolted to strut tower.

 

So the bypass valve solenoid on the intake manifold will also work as the waste-gate solenoid?? Has anyone used one as the boost controller solenoid? I have a faulty boost control/waste-gate solenoid and would be nice if i could just use that one.
