AC delete belt

Does anyone what what part number or size belt is needed for a A/C delete?? Also is the ATI balancer the same side?

Idk if you can do an A/C delete without an idler pulley to take place of the compressor because the tensioner would cause the belt to come into contact with itself due to the compressor not being there. But the size for the underdrive ati turbo balancer is I believe 15mm smaller than factory. Or at least that's what I think mine was. It fit tight but after a couple times of putting it on and taking it off it got easier as the belt stretched.

I'd also be interested in this for future modding. I would suspect you could remove the AC compressor and put a blank holder w/ pulley. I haven't seen the belt diagram so idk if just removing that pulley part would make it rub.

How did the LSJ do it? I know they had the tune disable it, but did they do a new belt to "delete" it?

from what i have read so far we gut the compressor. i have been reading into this topic for a few weeks now. i am going to assume the lnf's are the same. my biggest question is do we need to disable the ac compressor clutch sensor in the tune? or will it be fine? very few threads about this topic, very few people have done this. i believe mark(exsoccer/DS) may know a bit in this topic.

Unless you actually plan on removing the whole a/c system (compressor, condensor, evaporator, all the lines), I don't see what the benefit of this is.

well you did go to the extreme. hahahahahahaha

is the easiest way to remove the ac out of a lsj/lnf, what is the best way mark? to gut the compressor? and do you need to revise the tune?

I mean I guess you could gut the compressor. But that pulley is still pretty resistant to spinning.

I also deleted the compressor, go to autozone, look up a non ac 07 cobalt or so and get it. That's how I did it.

For me deleting the ac was just a byproduct of going with the ewp. I did much more than just get a shorter belt. But if you just want the ac gone then yes that would work.
