It's easier to just swap the blower than to do a turbo swap... even though we would all like to.

Yeah after this the car has seen 11k ish in parts in roughly 6months time. It just dont love me right now but hopefully will soon. You should definately not beat on the car if you dont expect to break and should rather be driving it like an old lady.
11k in parts? If that's true, I'd be very disappointed with just a 13 sec car....I think you're doing something wrong if you've dumped 11k into your Cobalt.

Car was a 13' second car a long time ago when it ran 13.4@104.1 with just a 2.9, injen, dp, byt tune.
Since then I added what's in my sig.

We still don't know what the car is running but should be and easy mid to high 12 IMO when I get a honest pass with a working car.

11k would have been with another new clutch and the stage 2 trans, tvs installed. And to some people it dont mater cost wise as long as they enjoy it.

So before you post maybe you should check the thread to see what actually being counted in that 11k.

Need a trans and clutch too, so tvs sounds like a good option with some left over.

Talked to Steve today at ZZP and waiting to hear back from him tomorrow again. Hoping i can get a hold of their news trans coming out technically in a few days.

ZZP F35 performance transmissions

We stock new F35 transmissions here:

Cobalt & Ion ---> ZZ Performance

Our stage 1 transmission has smoother shifting and less side to side travel for shifter engagement. Tighter bearing preload and modified gears reduce 3rd gear failures. Rated to 400WHP, it is stronger and more reliable than a stock tranmission. Shifting improvement will be felt the very first time you use it.

Stage 2 transmissions have stage 1 features plus 4.45 gearing, higher HP rating and stronger internals. Rated to 500WHP

Stage 3 includes all of stage 2 plus upgraded straight cut gears at different ratios from stock. This option will unfortunately be $3000 more than stage 2 due to quaife gearing costs. Good to 700WHP.

Stage 1 & 2 coming May 2011, Stage 3 in 2012

*Limited slip optional

Looking at the Stage 1, Clutch,TVS tomorrow.

Not sure if my 2k miles exedy took a crap but will find out once the new trans and clutch are at the shop if the clutch is fine and its just the trans i will have a extra on hand in the future or sell it.

TVS should be a nice little addition as well and with the meth.

Will post up what was finally ordered tomorrow when i talk to zzp.

The stage 3 would be phenomenal with the 6 speed swap, with the 4.45 final drive, and a blower.

I was thinking the same thing. I wonder whatever happened to the 6 speed swap. I don't believe anyone ever bought it.

Not sure if it broke and wont know until we get it apart. Clutch is currently stuck up cant **** to any gears and the car jerks forward if i try and start it. THis happened with a 3rd to 4th gear shift and you could just hear stuff ratteling like gears grinding. Clutch might be stuck not sure. If i had a garage to work on it i would know. Unfortunately our township dont let us work on our cars outfront. Got a warning last time when i replaced the radiator.

Wish i could have it dropped off at your house, left you a message but dont think you had time to get back to me yet. If your still up for it i can have it towed up there today. If you see this message call me ASAP. Will try and call the shop after i type this up.

Ordering a new trans, tvs, clutch with zzp today. Might get the exedy again from TTR since its cheaper with them.

We're a lil busy right now as you know, you would have to schedule something and it certainly wouldn't be right away.

Yeah i assumed your were busy. It will most likely remain where it is to get a trans or clutch or maybe both replaced. Once its done you know i will call the shop to schedule something.

Want to get this meth finally running and with the new tvs addition it should run pretty good. Also need to look at this dual pass we put in.

Will buzz the shop line when the car is ready again.

BTW got any ideas on the issue with the car?

TVS was just ordered from ZZP, Unfortunately no trans are available in stage 1 or stage 2 options just yet. About another 4 weeks or so until they become available and i cant wait that long.

Looks like a stock non LSD trans is my only option at this point since i cant find a new LSD trans at all.

Waiting to hear back from steve again tomorrow on a zzp stage 4 plus clutch. If they cant get it i will be getting another hypersingle from TTR. Mine might not even be broken but still need to order one either way just in case.

I race the car in my sig with non lsd trans. Not missing much.

When warming up the tires, sometimes it will get a one wheel peel. But when launching it hooks fine.

I assumed the same and will be getting a non LSD myself. I can basically get 2 non lsd trans for the same cost as one LSD trans. Its a no brainer in my book until i break again, then hopefully the zzp stage trans will be available.
