2.8" and 42lb?

i am running a 2.8" pulley with 42lb injectors on the stage 2 tune and one range colder plugs and i have never had a problem, have been running like this most of life of car and it seems that everyone says this is a problem and i wanted to get opinions, is this safe or what, i did put on 60lbs injectors and two range colder plugs and a tune and the 2 piston lost all compression and had a chuck missing out of it and i got a new motor and just wanted to do the stage 2 and the 2.8 again.. any opinions?

Wow,
So you blew your engine going to 60's? First time I have heard of this. Must have have a bad tune. Who tuned it?

2.8 with 42's is right on the edge depending hwo you drive. The other day I raced this acura yup a 2 mile hill. I was in 4th gear going up the hill for like 30 seconds WOT. I have GM stage 2 with a 2.9. No cooling mods, I had no problems. I would imagine that nearly 30 full seconds of WOT would heatsoak the **** outta it, but I have no problems.

bad tune? What people say and what your car does is 2 different things. Yes its highly recommended that u get 60's with 2.8 but when people say you have to....umm no. Could have been a number of things that made the 2 pistons go.

For me personally i ran 2.8 and 60's for a year with no cooling mods and it pulled nice...never had a issue. People said "oh you will heatsoak and loose so much power" i had 0* of knock and it stilled pulled good.

I recommend (just recommend but not required and if u got money)....get diamond pistons(since 2 of them went), 2.8, 60lb injectors, meth, h/e, 1 step colder plugs and a good tune.

With my 2.8" and 42lb I was over 100% duty cycle, it is not recommended. Get 60's and be safe, I am currently at 69%.. World of difference and I know wthat I will not starve the engine.
