Seems pointless to me. never understood of necking up over an inch in diameter for probably no gain. You should only need the diamater of the turbine housing outlet.
And it won't fit on the cobalt if you intended to buy that particular part that It's Intended for a different car so why would it fit a cobalt? I can tell you with all the manifolds that exsist for this car it won't work. You will be custom building something.

Its not intended for a dodge but they use it since it is a truck they have a ton of room to play with and doesn't really require anything modifications to fit. I just figured it couldn't hurt to have and extra inch if it fits with minimal modifications
I'm using zzps cast mani

If your using the Zzp manifold it's 100% sure not going to fit. take a good look at zzps down pipe. You need the curve there to clear the trans mount.
There is no a absolutely no reason for a 4" exhaust until you are going passed 700Hp. 3" will flow plenty. Also good luck getting 4" pipe over the twisting beam

haha i knew that joke was coming. But seriously if i did do a 4inch dp would it hurt anything performance wise or jus wouldn't be as a big of a gain as if the engine built and what i would do is a electronic cutout right at the curve were the exhaust tunnel starts then go down to a 3 inch all the way through or just do a 4inch dp no exhaust no ***** given lol

dude... not to sure why your so hung up on doing a 4" exhaust. you will not be making enough power for it. if anything you would probably loose some power.
just do a 3" exhaust. if you have to have the whistle then put a cutout in(even though they all leak) or just do a staight 3" catback. you will get the whistle even with a catback(as long as it has no mufflers or resonators or cat.

As stated, but your going to do what you want and make cobalt owners look bad. I made over 600 on a 3 inch dp, could of made more. If you were going over 700 like omiotec stated and I will add this, recirculated gate, then a 3.5 inch dp would be justified. But then only if you go 3.5 the whole way. My vette is on twin 62's and will make 800whp on 2.5 inch exhaust. And it's a 382 cubic inch.
