574's TVS mini build

Whats up ladies finally have some parts in my hands so I figured I'd start a build thread. Goal is to be in the 370's and high 11 second quarter.

Stage 2 of 3

Here is what will be going in:
GMPP Clutch
ID1000'S
DW300 fuel pump
2.6 pulley
Stage 2 belt
Stage one tranny mount
Ported head by LSJION (Head gasket and ARP headstuds)
LS4
Catless Downpipe
Catch can set up

And ofcourse the car will be on E85
Anyone have suggestions on other things I should get let me know.

No more wheelhop hopefully!:lock::lock:

Throw some diamonds on there to be safe? not sure on the install cost of that. but other than that it looks awesome. thanks for responding to my request to make a build thread! Where are you getting the 1000's and how much are they?

574 12-25-2012 09:11 PM

I'm gonna run on stock pistons and sleeves till something gives. I'm gonna try and get the injectors used because they are $$$

ThexGovenor 12-25-2012 09:13 PM

well if you dont find them used let me know where you get them. Perhaps if we bought them together it might lower the price lol.... I feel like im not gonna be satisfied and end up getting my head ported and want to drop pullies...

RedSSbalt246 12-25-2012 09:14 PM

Nice build.. In for results

Injectors can be bought from T1racedevelopment.com and probably some other places. Around $450 last I checked plus some other things needed to run them. Look to spend about $500 for it all if buying new.

What tires will you be running at the strip?

I'll be running slicks for sure, I almost picked up a used set on here that were 25" but I heard that's too big

riceburner 12-27-2012 08:41 AM

not sure if that gmpp will hold your power man... its good for 300 torque but u might be pushing it. either way that clutch has a lot of slop (at least mine does)

anyway, i love me a 2.6 tvs :D consider me subbed in here.

and if you find out the stage1 mount doesn't cut it for wheel hop, i have and extra rear spacer if you want it ;)

574 12-27-2012 09:00 AM

Ohh I have the rear spacer too not sure how good it will be but when everything was stock wheelhop was a bitch. As for the clutch zrated was running a lot more power than I will be and as far as I know his held fine so I'm hoping it will be fine haha.

riceburner 12-27-2012 09:03 AM

fair enough!

574 12-29-2012 09:59 PM

To go with the LS4 anyone think it would be worth upgrading to a 3" intake instead of my typhoon?

bykryder83 12-29-2012 10:06 PM

Absolutely upgrade to a 3" intake!!!!!!!!!!

Melon 12-29-2012 10:32 PM

I was debating that too. Keep typhoon or go zzp

turbosmart4 12-29-2012 11:02 PM

How much for clutch shipped to 77506? Thanks

574 12-29-2012 11:06 PM

Uhh $400

bykryder83 12-29-2012 11:12 PM

Typhoon junk and restrictive get 3"
Restricting a forced induction vehicle is like putting a semi tight rope around your neck

bykryder83 12-29-2012 11:13 PM

You wanna get rid of wheel hop and increase 60ft times? Buy my control arms

Omnigear 12-29-2012 11:25 PM

no need for the inj get the zzp brfbpdkedagrdad
with 80's stock pump can handle the flow.
no need for the ls4

and drive to area47 to get more bounce to the ounce.

Corvettespirit 12-29-2012 11:56 PM

Good luck with build!

mrbelvedere 12-29-2012 11:58 PM

the ls4 is a good thing

I thought so

might get a little torque out of the ls4 but idt enough to be worth it... u running a 3" intake? def. run a zzp 3" intake if ur getting the ls4 for best results

574 12-30-2012 07:11 PM

I saw a dyno from 100% the LS4 made 9 horse under the curve. I know results will vary but especially if Mr B says its a go then I'm gonna do it

riceburner 12-30-2012 07:14 PM

9 horse? damn! still. are u running a 3" intake as well?

kdub1492 12-30-2012 07:15 PM

Only 370? haha jkjk...good luck with the build buddy...happy to see my TVS is going to use!
