The hose crossing over the SC is a evap line. It comes from the purge solenoid.

LS4 TB. Let me see: less peak power. less peak torque. difficult to tune and difficult to drive. But it can be done you can learn to drive with it and it does give more low end response below peak torque. underwow. Fail.

to each his own. i like it, have no drivability issues. but everyone is different. up to the individual driver

I couldn't stand my LS4 TB. I think it assisted in the premature failure of my stock clutch because I had to ride it so much.

the throttle body doesn't become a restriction till well above the average users whp. not much of a point to give up a drivable vehicle for the seat of the pants feeling

for the first couple thousand miles i agree 100%. i've had it on there for a year now, so i've gotten pretty used to it, and don't worry about the drivability anymore. i need a new clutch for different reasons now

would i buy it again? idk, maybe. i agree with you though, most will never reach the hp levels to warrant needing this TB. it IS touchy, and is hard to get used to. but now that I have it on there, it's going to stay for a while, and it was a cheap mod, at $50. i know that most would have a rough time driving everyday with it, but i don't.

I put mine on, played with the scaler for a couple hours, and then had no problems driving it. It drove just like the stock throttle body. Just had a lot more get up and go. The real test was what my wife would think. She didn't even notice the change until she got on the highway cruising in 5th at 60mph and she looks down and was doing like 75. But just cruising around town, she didn't even notice a difference in driveability.

most people will... lol

post up a review. i have poly mounts and noticed vibrations, but hell, i used to ride in a ford escort, the vibrations in that car coulda shaken a martini. these mounts are not bad at all, especially after they were broken in

Thats really cool. If someone who rarely drives the car barely noticed the diff, it sounds like it can be made to drive normally. Just seems you need to get the scaler right.

the scalar is important. most change it to 4500, some go a bit higher. you can also play with the timing map in the low/off idle areas if you really want. but i know how you drive, richie... you'll be just fine

if possible, could you do a before/after? it takes just a few minutes to change the TB, then just load up a new scalar or something?

i plan on a dyno here soon too, i'll try to do the same

When we go to do this dyno session, the shop wont let us tune on the dyno.

If I can get a really killer deal on an intake I'll see about paying for another dyno run to do the test
