another how much power thread
Alright I see people posting all the time "How much power will I make?" So her's mine I'll hopefully have my car back together sometime next week.
MODS:
Vibrant 3" catback
ZZP high flow catted down pipe
CA V2 header
2.8 pulley
60 lb injectors
2 steps colder plugs
ported and polished blower, throttle body and throttle body spacer
Fujta CAI
dual pass with option b kit
OTTP Biggest H/E
upgraded blower snout coupler
Stg 1 trunk mount AIS meth injection kit
OTTP STG 2 rotated trans mounts
Trifecta tune
Just curious to what people think I'll put down I'm thinking somewhere around 280 or is that a little too hopeful. How much boost you think I'll be pushing?

I don't know a whole lot about Trifecta and how they do there tunes and what they look like and the amount of timing your running. But depending on the dyno I would say anywhere from 250whp to 260whp. I doubt any more then that.
This is what i dont get at all and puzzles me a bit . The cobalt dyno's at stock at about 220 with a tune so with all these other mods how can u just be gaining another 30hp ? It just doent make sense to me . Maybe you guys have experience or may have a similar set up but i fee it all comes down to who tunes the car, and if this measly horse power is what we gain then how do some guys ,make it to 270 280 without nitrous?
Its not just the peak numbers you get with all these mods though.
Sure the peak numbers only go up by 30 or so, but the torque goes up a fair bit too, and your powerband tends to be a lot larger, so you are making more power everywhere, which leads to a much faster car.

with full bolt ons on these cars without any internals and without a crazy tune you will only see between 250-270 depending on the dyno. Its the sad reality but if you have a 1/4 mile boner look at Stu 250whp runnin well into the 12's
