Blower bearings = fuct

Just like the title implies, my bearings are fried. I ported the **** outta the blower, but had to regrease the bearings, apparently i used the wrong kinda grease or something. Before they went, I noticed
#1 IAT2 was 15-20 COOLER
#2 Was hitting 21 psi boost

My plans are to rebuild the eaton, new bearings, and bushings and such. I can't afford the whipple right now, plus tags kit isn't done, so even if I did buy a whipple I couldn't use it until tag finishes their adaptor plates and stuff. I used Mobil 1 synthetic high heat, high speed, heavy duty bearing grease. I don't know how that would fail? Maybe I packed them wrong

X2
Mine grind and squeek. I'm just gonna order the intense grease. Its the same as the stock grease, so it should work.

Yea i think it is from pushing the blower hard and overspining it, iam going to go to the dealer or order the supercharger oil two bottles, and get the sealant and see what i can do with that, but mine are grinding and squeek, kinda loud.

Sorry to hear that man. I don't know how much time you had to drive it, but did the car feel like it gained any power?

Oh yeah, it felt A LOT more powerful. Throttle responce was instantainious and so was boost, when you floor it the power is right there as soon as you hit the gas. Also I was almost hitting peak boost (21 psi) at like 5k, it would hit like 20.5 and increase to 21 psi up to 7000! Most importantly the IAT2 was 15-20 degrees LOWER!!! Thats as good as a cobra heat exchanger!!! The who 15 minutes I drove it before the bearing burned up I did a 135 mph run and the IAT2 hit 150, usually its at 165-167 by 135!!! Blower whine is loud but I still can't really hear it over my exhaust. This mod was WELL worth it, you just have to port the blower enough before you get the gains. Just taking a papers width of material off won't do anything, I took almost 1/2" off each side of the outlet!!! I also opened up the inlet a lot and polished it.

If you just get the intense supercharger oil it comes with enough to fill TWO superchargers, and its only $8.99 +shipping

hmmm might be true... I dunno though I've been running a 2.55 pulley with a 7400 rpm redline for like 10k miles.. no strange noises form the blower and still pushing 20+ psi

Letting the car idle for a couple hours would be a waste of time and gas

Were you actually shifting at 7400? How did you do that without floating the valves???

The gayness of turbos shining
Nothing I hate more than the sound of a 4 banger at 9000 rpm
