Hey guys...not sure where to post this thread but I need advice, and I drive a SS/SC so I think the best place to put it would be here.

I got myself a used Zex wet nitrous kit, with all I need it to be safe"r". Heater, pressure gauge and window switch. I also bought a used TVS with a 2.9" and a 3.1" I think from a member here this week.

Anyways, almost everyone in real life, including some mechanics tells me that I'll blow my engine. I was thinking of a 50 shot, although I also have the 35 and 75 options in my kit. So from experience, what do you guys think? It's my only daily car, just turned 21 yesterday and I wouldn't want to blow up my engine. Should I do it?

Only other person I have heard of blew their engine.

TVS can already push the stock engine pretty hard, it might survive for awhile, or it might go boom.

So if I do get a good tune...should be safe? I know its not good for an engine, but there is a difference between "engine wont see 300K" and "instant kaboom" lol

3.1 inch pulley and the 35 shot with a good tune would probably last for a while, but in that case you may as well drop to a 2.8 with no nitrous and have similar results. The 2.9 and 50 shot would be fun and with a good tune may be fairly reliable but I dont think you would want to push it much harder than that if you are concerned with it lasting. On dino fuel on the TVS with nitrous I cant imagine how little timing you will have to run.

If you wanna be really safe, id sell it. If you wanna have a good amound of fun put on the bottle and enjoy it and see how she goes Just make sure either way to get a solid tune.

Thats not a bad idea...but it would probably be windshield washer and water :P haha. It would have been epic combination tho, kill everything on sight

I'm going to have a hard time selling this...because its a 10 pound bottle and it's full :/

iD JUST DROP THE PULLEY DOWN INSTEAD OF NITROUS. bECAUSE ON THE STOCK INTERNALLS AND THE TVS TOGETHER ON A LARGE PULL THE EGtS WILL GET TO HIGH AND START MELTING CRAP!!!

Sorry about the caps guys, i didnt notice it till i looked up! You can run the lower pulley with nitrous but it will not last long. Ecs if the car has some higher miles and is heavily beat on .....

Lol for the caps :P well only 93 km and I don't normally beat it. I just wanted the nos for the track, thats all. But it seems that everyone has the same idea about nitrous :'(

I am tuning a few lsj guys on nitrous soon and i have done it multiple times. But your power curve will not be as good wwith the Nitrous. Id pulley down to say a 2.7 and a 50/50 meth mixture and throw a single pass at it! And order some pistons as well lol!! For the later on Build.. The guys im tuning on nitrous is fully built and is on a TVS, And we are gonna throw a 100 shot at it to see what we can do!!
