Car wont shut off after key has been taken out
I have a 2005 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC. Recently my car has been having an issue of not turning off after the key is removed. Once I open the door (after the key is out), the car turns off.

It is probably something with the immobilizer in the security system. I had a similar problem with my golf.

Factory turbo timer.

Except you have a supercharger and that would have cost GM an extra $2 to put on cars.
So... useless post is useless.

What have you done to the car (electronics) or is it stock?

Try turning it off without engaging the parking brake

Roll down window and Dukes of Hazard it, car won't shut off that way.

If serious take it to the dealer, never seen that problem before.
