check engine light and cold air

check engine light and cold air

cold air intake was installed and the check engine light came on. is this normal or something I should be worried about. and how do you get the cel off

probably a maf sensor code. a lot of people get that with a cai. do you have an interceptor gauge? you could use that to clear it

What I did is first I went to Advance Auto parts to get a free scan to make sure nothing was up. I got a system too lean code, because the MAF didn't adjust to the new airflow. Then I went and unhooked the battery for half an hour, hooked it back up. Never gotten a CEL since.
