clutch problem

So i was driving the other day and i put my clutch in at a red light and it made this horrible pop sound and now the pedal is really loose and doesnt retract all the way back, i took it to the dealer and they said it was made like that and its normal which is bs because it wasnt doing it before so what should i do? anyone have this problem also if i was going to buy an after market clutch what kind is the best? and cheaper?

Were you running it hard before the red light? Or were you riding the clutch? Odds are you snapped a connection somewhere down the line, possibly due to overheating. I'm not exactly an expert on clutches, but that would be the first thing to check. Is it still dis-engaging and engaging properly? Of so, you might want to look at the actual pedal connections first. Could be a hydraulics issue, because if i'm not mistaken, these are hydraulic clutches.

P.S. I would look at Exedy clutches if you are going aftermarket.
