co2 vs meth inj.
I'm debating between the two, I havent had been able to find out much about either of them. alls the web sites do is talk about how great they are. is there a benefit to one over the other or does it matter? the tune shop im going to acted like he thought the co2 was a better deal.

you are comparing apples and oranges. co2 is sprayed on the heat exchanger. Methanol is injected into the intake. co2 on the h/e just serves to chil the coolant running through it, thus lowering the intake air temp some. methanol injection mixes with the air to act as a cooling agent and raises the detonation point of the a/f mix in the combustion chamber, similar to raising the octane rating of the fuel to 100+
i noticed you have nitrous listed in your sig... not quite sure how meth injection would work with n2o spray. |
I see, I was under the impression that both were just a way to cool yout a.i.t's im just looking to go smaller pully with my bigger ingectors. and h/e and i told the tune shop i wanted to use meth and he was like why not co2. Thats why im asking. thanks.

you will get a lot better cooling from water injection than any c02 kit could provide.
do not spray nitrous and water injection at the same time, you only need one cooling agent, not three. {assuming it's a wet kit} |
haha,,,... so comfused. i dont want to lose the spray. and i want to go lower pully. I have the 60 lb injectors. I just need to know what i need to do as far as cooling. i know i need a dual pass and cobra heat exchanger....right?

It sais in your sig you have stage 2. But you have 60#ers?
Your posts in general are kind of confusing. If you want to keep the nitrous why not try the dual pass and an extra heat exchanger for cooling. What size pully do you want to go to? Do you know that you need to go as far as methg for cooling. Also c02 isn't on all the time like meth. I would rule it out because it doesn't seem like its whats you need at all. But, then again your posts kinda confuse me. |
the cool thing about running a 75/25 mix of meth and water is, when you're wot, and people are behind you for extended periods of time. they cry. literally.

You are right. I do have 60 lb. injectors. That I have not installed yet. im not trying to cunfuse anyone. But anyone that has followed what i have been doing knows... i want to go smaller pully. but i want to go with a cooling mod first. I dont know what is so hard about the question. what is better for my aplication? cryo2 or meth? that simple...... sorry if i seem eritable. I have been out with 7 girls tonight. anyone that had done this knows, it seems like a good Idea but,...very frustrating. im stuck in a hell hole. with no-where to go. .....HELP!

And If what your thinking is the ball in the intake its only going to be like driving when its cold out. It's not nearly as efficient as using meth. Depending on the pulley size your going to I would eliminate the thought of C02 all together and make a decision between dual pass and meth.

^^ good deal. let me know when you get it. do far im sold on meth. inj. but maybe if you have good results ill get both later on down the road. does anyone know if the guy was right by telling me that a dual pass would not be enough for a 2.7 or 2.8 pully?

alot of people run 2.8 with the stock heat exchanger. doesnt mean its right, but it happens. i will be on a 2.75" with stock cooling, atleast for the time being. hot air just isnt as efficient and detonates easier.
