I would tell you to video the sound, but most of the time, that just ends up as a video with overdriven audio haha.

Be more specific as to the sound. Is it localized to any area of the engine bay? I've never heard of anyone complain about a rubbing/cracking sound before so maybe you're just describing it differently. Have you done any new mods recently that required you to uninstall then reinstall anything in the engine bay?

Just some stuff to help diagnose it...

only the torque dampner and i think it might be my coupler maybe in my SC or the timing chanin tensioner? sounds like rocks rolling around

Probably timing chain tensioner. I know our cars had an issue with them, and a lot of guys have had to replace them. How many miles on the car?

Unless of course it sounds like this...

My chain tensioner went out a around 20k miles.. It sounded like someone dropped a bag of marbles into my engine.

About to roll on 83k miles

I apologize - I'm very limited when it comes to technical/diagnostic information - does the sound you're hearing match any of these on this page: Oil Filter Guide - Oil Life Monitoring - Dirty Oil Filter | ACDelco ?
