Damn, got ripped off, hoping to salvage my stage kit anyway. Advice please.
I purchased a kit from Rebel Auto Worx a long time ago, I finally got around to putting it on.
The kit consists of:
1 new tuned PCM
4 60# injectors
4 NGK colder plugs
1 2.8" pulley modular system
1 Larger tensioner pulley (tensioner bracket ground to fit new larger pulley)
Well, I got everything done, super excited to fire it up, however, I turn the key and nothing happens. I notice the security light is flashing when I try and turn the key, I wonder if the PCM is rejecting my key for security reasons.
**edit: I will admit, I was wrong. I did not do the passlock relearn, once I did this, car fired up no problems, no CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, RUNS GREAT! I notice boost builds quite differently with the 2.8" versus the stock pulley. Wow.

Ok you were totally right, I did the passlock relearn procedure and the car fired up PERFECTLY. NO LIGHTS, nothing but purring pure idle. I am quite impressed. I took it around the block between 3 - 5k rpm, performed as expected, hella awesome.
I am hesitant to push it, though it's throwing no visible codes (no dash lights are on for warnings), and since it runs great, do I still need to take it to the dealer for a camshaft case relearn? Is that always necessary? The vendor of this kit did not mention that, and hell, everything seems great with the tune.
Thanks!

It's usually user error, before anything.
Let it heat cycle like 3-4 times to see if any pending codes come up hard. (chuckle)
If you don't have any codes for the camshaft case, I wouldn't worry.
I'd still get a custom tune now, once you have the funds for that.

I wonder why everyone says you need a camshaft case learn, I got an appointment at the dealership, they want $150. I'd like to avoid that, so I will run it 3-4 times and see how it goes. I figured, if there was a problem with the camshaft positioning with this PCM, idle would be terrible, wouldn't it? Right now it just purrs at idle, better than stock!
THanks for the advice, and yes, I admit, I was wrong.
