Detailed LSJ Build up!

here we go!
i bought a new motor.. well actually used but it had 20k miles.
and i totally disasembled it right away.

here is the engine

here is a list of what i bought for the rebuild!
diamond pistons
new rist pins and clips
total seal piston rings
ARP rod bolts
new rod bearings
new timing chain
new chain tensioners
nuetral balance shafts
dual coil valve springs
272 regrind cams
new rear main seal
new main bearings
ARP head studs
Cometic head gaskit
60# injectors
then head is getting sent out to get ported today!

and when the motor is built my LSD trans with only 5k miles on it loaded up with a center force DFX clutch and flywheel kit will be bolted up to it and my Stage 2 racing axles will be put on that as well.

when the motor gets put back in the car i also have poly motor mounts... and a ported blower will be put on it, CX heat exchanger, dual by pass valve, option b tank, 2.7" pulley, methanol injection kit, long tubed header, CAI, big bore throttle body, catless exhast system, custom HP tuner and more!

here are more pics!

I see one problem with your build.
It's sitting between the Supertech and Diamond boxes....

The build looks nice.

If I were you though I wouldn't go with the 272's because those are mainly a turbo grind. And if you are going to stick with the ported eaton and switch to the tvs later like me. Then I would look into some gm-r cams, they probably have a set or 2 left, they had 4 left 3 weeks ago when I ordered mine.

the one side is short so you have to do something about your cam positioning sensor

Are you talking about the gmr's? Because I've never heard that or read anything about it. The only 2 people on the forums I know that have them are Eco-Mod on RLF and Area47, and besides area selling his I haven't heard any problems with them. Besides valve tick noise of course.

I'm not saying it's not true, just tell me how you know that.
