He does not anymore. Other then the fact that you loose low end tq there was another reason why get got rid of them. One of those things that he wont tell people and wants them to find out themselves...

Well we don't know what his "other" reason was. But it is not all bad.

You will make more hp at higher rpms. That is what you want with a built motor right? If you are not going to push the engine past 7k why would you build a motor in the first place???

Don't be disscuraged. Make your own results and let us know. And if it does not turn out a cam swap will be easy compared to your entire build.

My ported 2.6" pulley makes peak boost of 17 psi at 5300 rpm, by 8200 rpm its only making 14 psi. I'm doing a GT35R...

The better flowing the engine the lower the psi. Nothing wrong with that, I'd rather make the same power with a fully ported motor than with one cramming a ridiculous amount of boost down it's throat

it would run a solid 20-21 psi ... and when we had the GM tech 2 plugged in and we could read the digital read of boost (cuz my gauge is stock and only goes to 20psi) the max we reached was about 23

Mines got a massively ported blower, head, and intake manifold. Does yours have cams?

When it doesn't hold boost, it might as well be an SRT-4. I can literally feel mine fall on its face past 7200 rpm, it kills me because the cams will support power up to 8500 rpm!!!

Im not the best person to ask about it, i know very little on it TBO.

It involves cryo freezing the metal parts to strengthen them.
from what i understand its quite reasonably priced,
i imagine you could get the important parts of your tranny done for under $400

I got the whole thing frozen. Housing and all, you need to disassemble the whole thing before you do it though.

WRT tranny strengthening... shot peen, then cryo.
Cryo treating doesn't actually strengthen the material... it simply makes it more uniform.
Think of a chain... if all the links are different strengths... the weakest link will break first. Cryo treating makes all everything the same strength, thus overall 'stronger'.

Shot peening, however, actually hardens and strengthens the outer surface of the material and makes it less prone to surface stress cracks. Since most breaks start as surface defects, it's not something to over look.

That is the easy part. Did you put it back together or pay someone to do it?

Wow...this is serious.
If I understood correctly the stock internals are good up to at least 350HP.
If you went through all this trouble/fortune, you might as well aim for 350HP+

Wish I had a few thou right now. I would go TVS as well, cause I like SC over TC

BTW, where did you get those axles

Don't they come as the official picture (below) illustrates

Just wondering
