Detailed LSJ Build up!
Sorry, was three sheets to the wind last night, leave out the reference part. Back when I was new on this forum one person from on the redline forum did exactly that with a vacuum barb drilled and tapped into the back of the bypass pipe on the manifold. His measurements were used in math in the same thread we debunked a few stating an M90 swap was a good idea.
I thought you meant the actual line to the bypass actuator, which is post-cores.
I was as the track and sliped my exedy as much as possible and all it took was 3 wheel hops and it was done.
its rather sad imo.
on a good note my car would of been in the 12s if i could of gotten off the line with a good 60... was trapping close to 110 every run
There might be a vendor offering rotated mounts soon along with steering rack shims, basically a setup similar to the time attack car. I'm not sure if it would help with the issue you had or not but changing trans mounting geometry may.
ok so its been a while since i have posted in my little build thread here haha.
the motor was built up and put all back together... i put it in the car and she started right up. how ever when i gave it alot of throttle she blew smoke out the back and lost power. then it started to burn oil.....
so now i have the solution to the problem.... when trying to do a compression test i got perfect numbers in all cylinders. how ever she failed the leak down test horribly. then i hooked the line up into each cylinder and blew into it. i was able to blow right threw (yeah i was blowing mt motor haha) so i realised that the cams were over lapping.... so after talking to a member on here who also ra these cams he said to retard the exhaust cam 3 degrease. and then i realised that the oil was getting burt because i burned my valve seals with all the unburt gas coming out...
so i just need to put in new valve seals and adjust my cams.
so now i have added more to the build.
valve seals (again lol)
new valves
brass valve guides
GM adj cam gears

but... Powell Motorsports is building me a custom hub swap, 114.3 bolt circle, grand am hubs, SS/TC knuckles, SS/TC axles, a new time attack car twb, with integrated adjustable cromoly sway bar. Stainless steel brake lines and SS/TC front brembos, and eventually PFC floating rotors. I may have left something out, but thats the gist of it.
if ur gonna spend all that money than u def need a dif form of f/i. If u dont, ur gonna spend all that money and wont even have 300 whp with the eaton. Go turbo or twin charge. Ditch the eaton and dont get a tvs. Go twin charged!
well, a little birdie told me that asymmetrically stiff axles are nicer to your transmission and reduce wheel hop. Aka, one stocker, one stage two. Now, not sure if the TC axles are that way, but i will find out.
i ca better you anymoney right now i am over 300 WHP right now with my M62.... and at a later date i will switch to the harrop... and twin charging is dumb and a waste of money!
the fact that the only twin charge kit is made by ZZP should tell you to stay away from it.
also, some like the challenge and power delivery of building a supercharged car, why do some people not understand this....
you have no idea what you are talking about. please go away.

You know alot less than you think you about HIS car.
