You pay for the Dyno Runs... and for the S/C Gasket... and I'll do it. Where you wanna dyno at? I recommend Slowmotion Motorsports in Columbus... but that might be a long drive for you. Cincinnati would probably be 1/2 for the two of us.

Always wondered how much boost can be attained due to porting. Is it realy measurable (IE port vs smaller pully), or more like regular(NA) port/polish; where it's good practice to get the most out of other mods?

I have a feeling the answer is more in between.

Edit:
And for that guy hacking up that SC... say what you will but you gotta admit that's alot of boost for $75. I wouldn't be against cutting such corners on an old spare/play vehicle. Though it may need more of a warning caption under it so folks don't go doing such things to perfectly good blowers.

Not without headwork. Airflow and pressure are linear until you do top end modifications.

With this talk about JB weld or pressing in peices couldn't you just TIG weld in a plug? I wouldn't think the TIG would heat up enough to distort anything

A lot of Grand Prix guys have been telling me to use Quicksteel to seal the holes. I know 2 or 3 guys that run 2.55" pulleys on their Grand Prix's and have had no problems.

Find a raw casting.. weld them in.. reheat the aluminum to proper specs.. then machine the casting.

unfortunately nobody here will be able to do that. Beyond this, there is no "good" way of doing it, all methods are just band-aids.. although some methods are better than others

mighty putty.. lol

so basically.. if you dont do it the proper way, you risk messing up your s/c correct? so for the added sound its not even worth it.. that sucks

Are you for real?

500* is hotter than hell. Your S/C isn't going to see that... and if it does... You've got other things to worry about.

Like I said... the GP guys have been running theirs Quicksteeled with 2.55" pulleys for years now.
