exhaust setup

i look for badmab header and zzp 3" catted downpipe and keep my stock catback... its a good idea?? i do not want a irrating sound.. i want something silent...

seekNdestroy 11-15-2011 08:53 PM

I went from stock dp n hedder n gmpp catback to bad mab and zzp 3-2.5 this weekend. Idol is about the same, start up sounds louder and wot screams! Not ricy tho. My friend heard it before he seen it n said it soundes like an evo at low speed.

Get at ricecop on badnewsracing for cheap bad mabs

mkulrey13 11-15-2011 08:56 PM

Really you should get the LNF catback as its true 2.5" all the way. the LSJ buckles down to 2.25 before the axle. But that would be a good quiet setup.

seekNdestroy 11-15-2011 08:56 PM

Ur gonna have to go 3 to 2.5 for stock exhaust. Itl lose a bit of low end grunt but seems to rev a bit quiker, ur gonna sh-t wen u c the amt of restriction in the stock hedder and dp

Tarheel62592 11-16-2011 05:57 PM

it will sound like that probably...and that sounds like hell lol

dufcobalt 11-16-2011 06:01 PM

i want a muffler quiet.. what is the best setup header/downpipe??

N1ckateen 11-16-2011 06:37 PM

yea don't keep the stock muffler. i literally just got my stock muffler cut off yesterday running the badmab header and 3" zzp catted downpipe. it's not that it's loud, but it doesn't sound good. i switched out to a cherry bomb turbo muffler and so far it sounds much better. very deep and smooth and definately muffles the sound. so far not raspy and very quiet unless ur full throttle of course. goodluck finding something silent on full throttle.

How's the quality on the cherry bomb?
I was going to go with dynomax/walker.
M-N1 muffler is too loud at everything.

mrbelvedere 11-17-2011 11:49 AM

keep the stock muff or go gmpp and read this

You can. You just have to change the flange to bolt up to the downpipe. But be warned, it's loud.

dufcobalt 12-29-2011 11:05 AM

which its better.. gmpp touring or lnf catback?

hawlyns711 12-29-2011 11:27 AM

gmpp exhausts are smaller inside diameter

But it sounds much better then an lnf catback. And guys have still make 350whp with using the GMPP catback so I wouldn't be scared to run it.

riceburner 12-29-2011 11:44 AM

BAD MAB HEADER + CORSA CATBACK. :guns: not TOO loud but sounds delicious, deep and mellow no rasp

dufcobalt 12-29-2011 11:47 AM

riceburner 12-29-2011 11:52 AM
