Flashing CEL
Flashing CEL
I have a cobalt ss/sc stage two. I recently had to buy a brand new engine and swap it. After the swap the check engine light flashes only when i go past 40 mph. Anyone know what this is?
last 4 are correct its missfiring if u keep driving it with bad plugs they might blow up ! change ur plugs, if the light blinks then it stays on then ur f'd !!! so go check it out like yesterday ! then test ur coil packs !
unfortunately misfire could be a wide range of things, most likely a plug or coil pack, but it could be anywhere from that to something as advanced as a vaccum leak up to low compression in that cylinder which would mean tearing down into the engine = $$$$$
plugs are brand new. They are the one step colder ones i got from ottp. Also the new engine brought stock plugs. I dont think its the plugs.
Its a brand new engine. Only have ran like.... 5 miles lol

Actually a flashing cel means your car is doing somthing thAt is not good for your cat emission based which means like everyone else said coil packs spark plugs bad ground somewhere loose plug causing pressure from the cylinder to come out. Fuel injectors faulty bad compression in a cylinder bad fuel pressure timing s wrong and so forth

a flashing CEL means that Damage will Occour is you keep driving it. Dont drive the car until you get it looked at.
ok so i went to autozone and these are the codes that came up
P0300- cylinder misfire
P0053-oxygen sensor heater condition
anyone? could it be my relays?
cant be spark plugs, those are new.

Did u gap the plugs if so is it .035 what type of plugs make sure they are sealed correctly. And also our cars are prone to it. Make sure you don't have any ground wires look by your tranny. Replace you 02 sensor
and the front o2 sensor is brand new.
and plugs r gapped right.
Are cars are prone for our wires, coil plug wires and ect by the tranny house to rub and come into contact with it meaning grounding out ... I would still do a crank relearn on ure car
