Fujita F5 CAI question? Help?

OK so i just installed my Fujita CAI and i have a question for all those who have this intake installed. does your intake hit the splash guard near the top where the bend is where it goes through the hole to the engine compartment? mine does and I'm wondering if there is something i did wrong. on the plus side there are no dreaded CEL's and man does this thing SCREAM when i get on it. thanks for your help guys.

Rich

yeah what i did on mine is I DID NOT connect the bracket on the intake to the frame. It will just rest on the splash gaurd just fine with no movement...have had it on there since September and no problems.... also if you end up getting a CEL just go to your dealer and get the PCM reflashed (updated) that took away my CEL's.

Did you make a new bracket? if you did do you have any pics? i tried just disconnecting the bracket but still couldn't make enough room to have it not hit. but it's a small price to pay for the way it sounds!

no this is wat i did i left the rubber bracket piece off and took anotehr screw and drilled into the chassis to the left more and put the intake bracket into it so that it wont move nor hit the fender liner, but i gotta make a new bracket i dont like it like that, my uncle suggested it and i wanna put it onto that rubber bracket so its safe

It will sound great once you get the smaller pulley. Hell, it already sounds like nuts slaping off a chin! Anyways, a few days ago...before the snow came down, I beat a Hemi 5.7l Magnum r/t. He has headers and exhaust. After I passed him you should of seen his face. I lost many of times to him when I was stock. Stage II and intake changed the story. He told me my car sounds insanly awesome and it made me feel great hearing that from a muscle man.

Edit Post: Congrats on the new intake! I would like to see if there is any differances from injen and that fujita or whatever. I assume louder s/c wind because of the width of the pipe. As for performance I'm not sure...

Fujita claims like a 16 hp increase. they have a dyno sheet on their website. hang on i'll get the link and post it.

ok here it is straight from Fujita's website.

and from injen's website. kinda hard to see though...

I <3 my Fujita! Going around town in 2nd gear at about 3000 rpms, then just touch the gas to spin up the blower, and watch all the heads turn lol. Amazing.
