248hp with stg 2 and a CAI, NICE!

about 270-280FWHP!
nah hes in the mid to high 250 range but even thats more than respectable from these kits

Yeah. You are probably in the 240whp range. Mustang dynos suck if you wanna see good numbers. They calibrate weird too so one might be 10% off from another. If you want to compare CAIs then a Mustang will do the job. Dynojet is the public's standard.

I believe Mustang dynamometer actually introduce a load on the dyno cylinders. This is to compensate for road drag and wind resistance. Dynojets calculate the power without these extra variables. Neither of them are bad; as a dynamometer can never be 100% accurate due to too many variables in the world (wind, geography, temp, etc). What it boils down to is 1/4 mile times (then again these are subject to those same variables).

BLKSS - I dyno'd at 200whp and 177 ftlbs on a Mustang Dyno with just an intake. I should have My Stage 2 installed tonight, and reflashed in the morning. I also put an exhaust on, but I'll still dyno it and keep you posted.

my dyno was similar, but he told me it was old dynojet machine and it acts more like a mustang dyno so i got 233whp, then he said to add 10 more horses to that because other dynojets dyno 10 more horsepower more than his so that puts me a 243 giver take, and i dont ahve an intake, he told me i need one desperately and i should see better gains, and i was also runnin on a hot engine and the fan was used at the very last run, but all in all the stage 2 kit is worth it...my runs were in 4th gear as well., i asked him about stock ss's dynoing around 230ish and hes said the car is underrated but alot of dyno guys paly with numebrs to satisfy the customer, he told me he can take 2 min and give me 265 but thats just wrong and hes never seen an ss sc at 230ish stock, he showed me a stage 1 ss dyno and i have much more torque and about 8 horses more so when i get my intake and motor mount im gonna go again and see what it gives me, im also thinking the gm honed maifold cuz i can get a super deal on it, with sayin all that sweet numbers man! lol

For comparison

Here's a dyno of my LSJ with only K&N Typhoon for comparison purposes.

If its too small for you to read: 213.4 max HP, and 197.5 max torque. I've since put on a smaller pulley and expect stage I in a few weeks..........

You go to TAG? That Stage 1 may have been me and after I saw the dyno numbers I am all the more skeptical of dynos as an all out HP measuring tool. I can definately tell you that 5 more pouinds of boost is gonna give me more than that. I had a dyno with 3.15, I/E and it put down 238HP on another dyno (was free), now after Stage 1 and a 2.9 pulley it puts down 230 at TAG's dyno??? My ass meter measures HP in the 1/4 mile and 5 more MPH is where it's at.

ya i went to tag and i totally agree ith you, even he said it himself, other dynos(dynojets) get higher than his cuz his machine is an older version, he told me it acts more like a mustang dyno, so it is kinda sketchy thats forsure.

Butt dynos probably give better torque readings than HP readings. You have to remember, torque is what you feel while HP is the amount of work done through a given interval. Yes they both work together, but I think too many people look at HP and expect to immediately translate that into acceleration figures. Would be nice if it worked that way, but it doesn't. What I look for in an engine's dyno chart is a long flat torque curve. The LSJ definitely has a nice square looking torque curve. If you have a Dyno chart of your car, study the dyno chart (pay close attention to the gear at which you ran the Dyno Run) and run it through the gear completely, any spikes you see on the Torque curve (i.e. any sharp increases or decreases) should be evident during your driving through the gear. I notice around 4K or so I get thrown into my seat a little more. Sure enough, around 4K is where I notice the Peak Torque on my Dynosheet occurs.

This is a decent article, but still kinda tedious to read http://www.houseofthud.com/cartech/t...horsepower.htm

Plan on putting any bushings in to help with any possible wheel hop? I started getting some awful wheelhop of late, went with a wider tire and the wheel hop is all but gone. One thing I didn't think of though, is going down to a series 40 since I went wider. Car looks weird with a higher sidewall, of course that might explain why the wheelhop is gone.

GM stage 2 costs $895 dollars installed here in Phoenix, $1,700 sounds like a ripoff.

I just installed some mods and was wondering if anybody has the same mods with dyno numbers? GM stage 2, GMPP honed exhaust manifold, GMPP cat back pipe, Injen intake.
This car kicks ass and sounds crazy. any help would be great.
I have seen a dyno on the ex man and pipe and it was a 30 hp gain. I also have seen a dyno on the injen intake and the gm stage 2 it was a 45 hpg.I have not seen all togather .
could my car be at around 280? iI tell you what it sure feels like it!!
