I think it'll be really loud. I put a 50 series deltaflow on my supercharged Z24, and that last about a day before I had it removed.

In my opinion a Flowmaster muffler has no business on anything other than a V8, and even then they still flow like **** but they do sound nice.

A 4cyl needs a muffler with roving material to soak up some of the unwanted noise.

wait...what??

im talking to a guy about doing a custom full exhaust on my car, the mufflers he uses are exactly like a flowmaster. how would this sound on my car? i like tone, but i dont want anything real loud, i dont want to wake the neighbors when i leave for work in the morning and i dont want to have my radio compete with the exhaust when i am driving distances.

sorry for the jack, i have the same interest in how it will sound as you

A) I guess I care if my car sounds like ****.

B) If fast is your goal Flowmaster shouldn't be on your list. Real Flow > Flowmaster

And splink 99% of the knock off Flowmaster's aren't even like them at all the only one that comes close is a few of the IMCO mufflers.

This might be a stupid question but will an exhaust system void your warranty.

i havent even checked the guy out yet, i have been reffered to him through a friend of mine, so i dont know what he uses, just second hand info you know?

If I was you I would just buy a name brand muffler, you will most likely be able to buy name brand for the same price.

There are a few mufflers that look like a Flowmaster but the internals are different.

IMCO:
Some of there mufflers resemble the Flowmaster 40 series single chamber mufflers but the others are just slapped together imitations.

IRON-TUFF:
Goes by a few names but is very popular in muffler shops, they may look similar but they aren't even close to a Flowmaster. They have baffles but between them is a perferated tube.

TERMINATOR:
Made by and designed by IRON-Tuff.

Just go with a magnaflow! I had a flowmaster on my car and I HATED IT!!! Save your self the embarassment and go magnaflow! I totally agree with codyss, flowmasters are ment for v8s and sound like **** on anything else. I have flowmasters on my truck with a 355 small block and it sounds GREAT, flowmaster on a 4 banger just doesn't sound good.

2.5" piping. The actual flowmaster muffler is sitting in my room because I got a magnaflow which sounds WAY better. That magnaflow and the rear exhaust pipes from my car is now welded on to Tomtwtwtw's car. Leaving my car with a 3" collector from my pacesetter header and no exhaust. However, tomorrow I'm getting full header back 3" catless magnaflow exhaust, I CAN'T WAIT!!!

I got my exhaust today and HOLY ****!!! It sounds rediculous!!! The only way I can describe it is a cross between and SRT-4 and STi. Its got the sound of SRT-4, but the rumble of an STi, its crazy!

No the poping sound is from the exhaust back pressure. It has nothing to do with being NA or FI it has to do with exhaust flow. My new exhaust has almost no poping what so ever, because it flows so good.
