Curious how numbers will be. I know the m62 is extremely picky when it comes to porting. Little too much and it's useless. Port does look well done though.

Thank you very much. I don't think I am going to plug them. I just don't want potential problems in the future because of something I did to try and go faster.

Off topic but I am so disappointing that I can't find a Corsa Touring exhaust system anymore. Too bad they discontinued them 2 years ago. Your car sounds great. You should make some videos of your ZZP stage 1 cams install. I might go with that set as well but for now I am content with what I have and am doing. I'd be happy with 270 whp. Your car is by far one of my favorites on this site.
Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words.

Yeah, the Corsa Touring is not made anymore (I don't know why). Keep a look out for a used one on here or E-bay. You may luck out.

I have some idle videos of my cams on FB. I just haven't had time to throw one up on you tube. When I do, look for it in my cam install thread, along with dyno results

You're correct they should have.

Too bad the LSJ didn't meet emissions standards for 2008. Maybe we would have seen a factory 260 hp SS/SC rather than the SS/TC.

You're not gonna see any huge change either way even plugging them. Just have a louder whine.
That's exactly who said that too. I think I will leave it for now because it is easy to take the blower off and apart.

Thanks, I have a lot of trust in my friend that ports. He is extremely smart when it comes to this kind of stuff. You know what they say, right? Find a person that knows how to do a port job on a small engine and they will be even better at porting car cylinder heads. My friend knows how to do both.

I will always be a little bit jealous. Lol. I wish I would've kept my TVS but I wanted to go turbo. Money gets tight sometimes though.

the only "safe" way I have heard to plug the holes is to weld in a plug. But you cant warp the rotor housing so you have to heat up the casing to prevent this. someone correct me if this is erroneous information. All in all not worth the hassle and risk. The m62 is already loud as f**k. TVS is too quiet

U need to prheat the case to tig weld it anyways. Its to big to just start welding on it not to mention its cast also which makes it a pain.

I am finally getting my head together and I am in the process of putting a 2.5" exhaust together because I'm not keeping this 3". Hopefully I get everything done this month and I will have videos and dyno sheets to show what it does. I don't care if I don't get massive power, I just want to be able to drive the car again.

Little bit of an update. I put my Supertech springs in, ARP's in, and cylinder head is now on the car with a fresh headgasket. I got the crank pulley bolt off but need to buy a harmonic balancer pulley puller. Timing shouldn't be that hard. Should have the majority of it done this week.

Balancer should just slide right off...no puller needed.

May take a slight nudge with a long screwdriver if its stuck.

Tried with a screwdriver already. I guess I can try again. Timing shouldn't take long. I read that I have to tilt the engine to get the plate cover off. I will learn as I go.

no you don't need to tilt the engine to get the cover off and you can time the engine with the cover on

Got the pulley off easily. I need to torque down the caps that hold the camshafts in place. I'm so close but yet so far.

that picture above looks like it is as yet un ported. I see the shiny machine marks for the laminovas, but all the edges still look cast.

I read somewhere 17 or 18mm's was as far as you want to go on the slots.

18 MM all the way across. You should've seen them before. These are opened up quite a bit.

What I lose in torque I will make up for with the 2.7. Not like the supercharged Cobalt has a lot anyway. I might put in a set of ZZP S1 Comp cams in the future when I am better off financially.
