A full CAI flows better.

You cut off the bottom air box. Attach filter..

Theres not much to it!

+1 a full cai will create more power and flow better and probably have a louder whine. The air box mod is simply just cutting off the bottom of the air box and slapping on a filter. Check the how to section someone might have posted a how to there.

I know you're itching to mod, but this is a nono in my opinion. Take the front wheel off, then the fender liner out, and then you can remove the airbox to do this if you are insistant on it.

you have no choice but to take the splash guard out if you wanna get the factory air box out of the car. But...if ur gonna go that far, you might as well get a real CAI and just slap that in while it's all apart. Box mod is cheaper, yes. But a real CAI adds power as well as looks to ur engine bay.
