How to wire a aem uego wideband

hey i got one i know you can wire them to the boost gauge. just need to know there are 7 wires and only 4 running to boost a good how to would be great guys thanks

sundevil07 02-04-2010 02:32 AM

do you just need to know what the power and ground wires for the boost gauge are?

Winkdogydog101 02-04-2010 03:05 PM

not

no i need everything because i wired it into that and its not working so idk if i have it wired right

iboost 02-04-2010 03:22 PM

Is it turning on at all? The black and ground. Red power. Blue and white ones are for data logging I believe. Then the sensor just runs to the down pipe. Its real simple. I duno if that helps.

I just balled up the white and blue wires and kept them inside my pillar...

YzRider452 02-04-2010 03:29 PM

Quick question, can i just splice the power wires from the boost gauge for power to my wideband? If so which wires on the boost gauge is power and ground?

Anybody? im installing mine right now as well.

iboost 02-04-2010 03:31 PM

yes you can...thats what I did

red is power...black is ground...the other two wires coming up to the stock boost gauge are signals on how much boost and what to display on the gauge.

YzRider452 02-04-2010 03:34 PM

Thanks dude. Getting back on it right now, should be done in 15-20.

iboost 02-04-2010 03:36 PM

its too easy man...good luck

ziggity 02-04-2010 03:37 PM

Sorry for the thread jack but I will be installing one soon to and I already have my interceptor powered by the boost gauge power .... can I run the wideband and interceptor off that one power source?

iboost 02-04-2010 03:48 PM

I don't see why not. I have my voltmeter and my wide band both powered off my boost gauge wiring

ziggity 02-04-2010 03:51 PM

Alright thanks.

iboost 02-04-2010 04:00 PM

iboost 02-04-2010 04:09 PM

Looks good. You got retros?

YzRider452 02-04-2010 04:11 PM

Im making a cheaper style retro. If it turns out awesome, ill be selling em.

iboost 02-04-2010 04:13 PM

Nice. They look good. How you liking them?

YzRider452 02-04-2010 04:16 PM

They are nowhere near done. I just figured out how to mount them, while still being able to adjust them. Its looking promising. And the light output is very nice. The pics i have are them just kinda rigged into place.

iboost 02-04-2010 04:18 PM

oh ok. I gotcha. Well good luck with the build. I'm having me a set built. I can't wait to get them

YzRider452 02-04-2010 04:19 PM

Make sure you pick the ones for the 05-07, because they are a little bit smaller I believe then the 08-09. The first time I got the wrong ones and they reallly didn't fit. I was pissed, lol.

YzRider452 02-04-2010 04:33 PM

Thanks dude, also sorry for the thread jack lol

Hey guys I've been wanting to hook mine up for a while and don't feel like payingn $150+ for a shop to do it.

All it is is just black wire to black wire and red wire to red wire? And then plugging it into the dp?
