Check out this thread:

There is at least one in there with the Hurst.

just finished the hurst install.. took me and my buddy.... a little over 4 hours id say....

ran into a few problems, nothing major tho... biggest problem i had/have is now my reverse lockout doesnt work... the car goes in reverse but the lockout is gone... no need to pull up on the lever... hard to find fifth gear tho... it wants to go all the way over... the big block appears to be a good... 1/4 too far from the lockout... oh well i guess. im going to call up hurst tomorrow about that. i liked the lockout feature.

anyways... as far as the shifter goes - its niceee. the distance of the throw is noticable shorter, real smooth shifting (i greased the **** out of the pivots) id say it was worth the money.. the shift knob was a PITA to line up also, but i got it done.

you can kind of see how much higher the lockout is than the thing that its suppose to hit.

Screamin!
Un-secure your left clip on the shift linkage (the one that moves when you are in neutral and you go left and right). Move your shifter to the right of center, just a little bit, clip it back down. Test to see if you can find all gears and have reverse lock out. I had to do this ~4-5 times to get it just right, but I have reverse lockout. If you look, the bottom of the neck (the part that moves up and down) is supposed to line up with the notch on the hard plastic around your shifter... let me see if I can pain on your pic....

EDIT:
These two parts need to line up:

i went out and did this. it still didnt get my reverse lockout to work.. i took some more pics so you could see the gap between the shifter and the lockout thing..

finger between the 2 things

the deals with the gear in reverse...

i have the left one set to the point if it goes back even an 1/8 it wont go into reverse at all.

So you tried unsecuring the left clip and moving the shifter to the right a bit and then clipping it back down and still no go? hmmm. Thats what I did, but I did have to fiddle with it for about half an hour before it worked like it should. As it is, I am still to the point where its wearing down the plastic lock out (until the plastic gets down to the point where it fits like it should) Yeah, give hurst a call, I hear they are good about helping out with this kind of thing.

I have to say, I love the shifter, it feels MUCH more sturdy, shifts are btter, and a little shorter, but not a whole lot. Would you agree screamin?

Yup, I love the feel of it also. That shitty plastic stock one had to go, get the more sturdy shifter in there. I'd highly recommend this upgrade.

Well the prices keep falling. I think TTR has it for like 140 shipped now or something. I paid $146, I think it was worth it. And to TTR, great vendor!
