Pistons still useable???

So I finally got the head off of the 05 ss/sc I bought about a month ago and I was hoping to bottom end would be fine but there are marks on the pistons where the valves tapped them when the car jumped timing. I'm not sure if I need to replace the pistons or if I can reuse them. I need an expert opinion. If I need to replace the pistons I might just sell the car.

They will make good ash trays, or cup holders. As deep and sharp as the divots are I wouldn't run em.

You should just get diamond pistons to make it stronger anyway.

I can't really tell how deep/sharp those marks are. Doesn't look too bad.

These are my pistons at 78K miles for reference...

We just cleaned them up with a wire brush on a drill, and used a 3m cookie disc to blend in the notches ! they where not to bad... we also put in 8 intake valves ourselves.. put in head studs and a new gasket. over 5000 miles ago.
