pcm questions

see if anyone can answer this for me .
first off i have a 2005 ss/sc
and wondering if the pcm has to be from a 2005 or can a 06 to 07 be used
thanks hope you guys can answer that i have heard maybe, yes, no so that didnt help too much lol so give me answers

I am almost sure you need an 05 or the fuel guage will read wrong

Just go with the same year to avoid issue thats what i did.

Will work, Gas gauge will work backwards (Empty is full/ full is empty)

you can run 05 in 06 and 06 in 05 the fuel guage will read backwards but the dealer can reflash the pcm with your vin and correct operating system and that will fix it

im asking because i obviously have a 05 but i found an 07 computer with stage 3 on it
