I Never Thgought I'd See This!!!!! With Pic of dyno
Dyno'd the cobalt last night, along with a BOAT load of other LSJ's! Nice meeting you guys that were all there.
We learned ALLOT more in the process of fine tuning these cars last night.
Now for the shocking news,
By the 4th pull on my car,
271HP and 272TQ More TQ than HP!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!
The car is FREAKING NUTS on accelleration! No feeling a loss of power after a shift, no feeling the powerband come on above 4500.
This thing keeps you pinned in the seat ALL THE TIME NOW!!
19psi boost, 21-23deg timing, FLAT AFR of 12.0, no kr on a mix of 93 and 110.
Dan has the same combo, except for clutch and he had an air intake, on PUMP gas, he had no KR and got 271hp and 256TQ His TQ was lower from the stock clutch slipping i'm certain!
So what we have is a redline and cobalt putting down with-in 1hp with a similar mod list!
That's awesome!!
We also got a stock redline 05, to put over 236 stock to the wheels!! We just smoothed out the AFR curve and timing curve.
Sorry to ramble but lots of exciting news

Those are awesome numbers. What you are accomplishing with the HPTuners is great and gives everyone a base of where we can all get to with the proper tuning. Now as bad as this sounds, keep on pushing the limits because most of us also want to see what you blow up first so the weak links are exposed.

Was this with your new 60lb injectors and 2.5 pulley? If so, notice any belt slippage? Any boost bleeding? What was the AR between 2500rpm thru 4700rpm? I realize you said 12 but that might be an average figure, the way I see it, you will draw the most fuel just getting the blower started at those rpms.
Just curious, and good job with the numbers. Very respectable figures

I will post a pic later of the dyno chart for you, curve was perfectly flat till 6500, a little dip there.

Fast06ss, Those numbers rule. Where did all this torque come from? Your set up compared to mine yielded 30 more hp and 60 more ft.lb.tq. WOW! I must have tunning! Since you know so much about this can you take a look at my dyno below? I did air/fuel when I did my runs but I can't tell what it means. Can you give me the jist if i'm lean or rich and what I should do next? You are the freaking man. Thanks.

In a nut shell, you are WAY lean in the begining, turning to way rich in the end. Flatten that out and your TQ will come up and HP slightly. I'm also running a 2.5" pulley which gets you lots of TQ
You need to see a nice flat AFR around 11.8:1

Fast do you know if this software will work on the 2.2 or is it only for the 2.0, abd how hard is it to learn/use compared to UTEC (subaru tuning software i did for my friend)

so the torque number i am flabbergasted with.. but whats with the drop off in HP? seems like everything is topping out around 270 and then only the torque numbers change.. any info on why this is occurring?

I'm still on the stock air intake and filter, stock rear manifol, all of which is very restictive at this power level on the 2.0L

A few things are happening, when you with a smaller pulley, it takes more HP from the motor to turn the SC. Eventually you hit a point wher no gain is achieved.
