I honestly doubt it. Bunch of monkey that work down there. When I told them how I fixed my problem they were like "already with only 5k miles on it????" as if this was something new to them. I would make sure to have them check into this asap to make sure.

This is not really that true.
I have a 2.2 fully bolted. I had the problem with a clean 2.2TB, a dirty 2.2TB, and a clean 2.4TB.
Mine happens the most when the car coolant is very warm.
I tuned the fans a little more aggresive and that has helped a lot, but not fixed it.

I had the same problem, and the car was throwing codes all the time... the dealer (shudder) thought it was the MAP sensor, but all I did was put in a new air filter and cleaned the throttle body, and Bingo! Problem gone.

I always assumed that this problem was because of my cams and just having a rough time tuning them. I'll try this tonight and see what it does for me.
My current fix has been to ride in 2nd gear as close to stopping w/o stalling as I could and then pressing in the clutch and jabbing the throttle while stopping before the RPM's came down to my 900rpm idle...

Well I kinda have this problem. The problem only happens when I turn on my A/C, and only when I am stopped. Like, I can drive arround w/ A/C off and never have this problem, but if I turn the A/C on and come to a redlight, or a drive through my rpms will start to bounce arround from 400-1500, and if I give it some gas it will stop, but shortly after start again. If I sit too long, if I try to pull off it will just stall, and then the car wont start up right way, I have to wait like 1-2 minutes.
Do you think this is a similar issue?

alright, this thread deserves a bump.
I cleaned my TB and my idle smoothed out allot.
That thing was really oily...
before at idle i would be about 1k now its ALMOST an even 800

Thanks for this man it fixed my fluttering idle especially with the a/c on god that was gettin on my nerves it would drop all the way down to 450-500 rpm when i was comin up on a stop light. Now its perfectly smooth. I did have kind of a scare though when i was takin off the throttle body it slipped out of my hand and was hanging by only the wire harness. Well after I cleaned it and installed it back in the car, i went to start it and all the car would not even try to start... I was pretty sure it had to do with the force of the throttle body pulling down on the wire harness so i went back under the hood and pushed on all the wires on the clip back in and she fired right up. Then i started driving down my driveway and my CEL comes on so I was pretty pissed about that... When I got my scan tool out there were three codes, all of which had to do with the TB so im guessin when I pushed those wires back in they set off the codes because i cleared them and they havent come back. Anyway, thanks again for the great info about cleaning the TB.

As long as you remove the TB and clean it, then let it dry good before re-inatalling everything you should be fine.

I'm definitely doing this tomorrow.
Also, I had rough idle after I installed my CAI and discovered that it was because I pushed the filter all the way up to the MAF bung. Dropped it back down to where there's just enough for the clamp to hold on and that cured it.

angel ive been having my problems with my car when i come to a stop light and stop my rpms flutter up and down so you think this will take care of all my problems?

the issue with the ac being on and the rpm's bouncing all over the place, will most likely need the reflash from the dealer to fix it. I experience the same thing, and it wasn't from a dirty tb
