intercooler pump leaking after install of "hattrickstu" mod......ideas?

I have a theory that the additional load on the pump is causing it to leak.........or perhaps these pumps just start to give out like this??? its leaking from the middle of the plastic housing...........Is their a gasket that I can replace?

I dunno, considering countless people have put on extra heat exchangers and the like with no issues, you may just have had some bad luck there.

You probably just cracked the platic casing when taking/installing the new hose. Mine doesn't leak at all, and I got WAY more coolant in my system than you do.

agreed, if the extra coolant was to much, it would stop working, not leak from the middle of the pump.

sure sounds like the right solution as both Ralli, Brandon and Ark have said, its nothing to do with hatrickstu's mods which work well. The oem hose clamps are very difficult to remove as they are epoxied into place and need a special service tool to remove....sorry you probably need a new pump...

It doesn't take much to crack the IC pump housing. You probably cracked it trying to take the hoses off (those hoses are a bitch).
