K&N drop-in or AEM dryflow, anyone here?
So I'm looking to upgrade the stock filter to either a K&N drop-in or AEM dryflow, has anyone else here installed either? The reason I'm going with these is becuase I don't want the SES blinking at me. So for those that are going to tell me to get the K&N intake kit, don't becuase it's out of the question. Has anyone here had any issues with just a drop-in giving service lights, or are they even worth it over stock besides hearing the S/C at higher RPMs?
Also, has anyone rigged an AEM dryflow to use as a stock drop in? What size filter did you use? |
Go to the "how to" section and look for the air box mod. :cssNET:

our cars do not like oiled filters.
the Maf sensor is very picky, and the oil from K&N filters tend to gum it up and cause problems Ive had aem dryflow since i bought my car. both as a dropin, and on the end of my K&N Typhoon cold air intake. my CEL has never flashed at me even for a split second. I highly recommend it. for a direct dropin you will need a 3.25inch inlet, with a 5 inch length. |
I have the AEM Dryflow dropped into my stock airbox. It works perfectly, no CEL after 1000 miles, and it is an easy install.
