Lost 2nd gear and 4th is sloppy but still there
I was on my way to work and shifted into 2nd and the gear wasnt there so I shifted into third and 4th is sloppy my shifter goes all the way back and the cable clamp goes all the way up on the cable while in fourth and it is suppose to be like 7/16 distance between the cable sheething and cable clamp.
First, third and 5th are present and fully operational for now....i suspect it could be linkage roll pin but I wont know until I look at it. Anyone that could chime in and shed some light on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you
Matt V

Mine did this to me over this past winter. One of the two shifter cables that go from your shifter to the transmission have broken. The wire may still be hanging on by a couple threads of wire. I had to drive mine for 2 days with only 1st, 3rd and 5th gear to school until the shop had time to fix it. Just don't park anywhere where you will have to back up!

ctually JB mark hit the nail on the head. I was waiting'for a ride home because I wasnt sure if it was roll pin or internal. Turns out to be the cable portion I see it is broken when I shift the shifter to 2nd the cable pops out of its casing. How easy of a fix is this? I think I still have warranties but they may be **** bags about the performance parts. Any part # references? Thank you.
